Germany are better than 2014 – Confident Muller ready for Russia

Thomas Muller believes Germany have a stronger squad heading to the World Cup than they did four years ago, when they beat Argentina in the final.

Joachim Low s side lifted the trophy in Brazil with a 1-0 victory thanks to Mario Gotze s extra-time goal.

After 10 wins from 10 in qualifying, Germany are well backed to defend their title and Muller is confident Low s squad has the quality to go all the way in Russia.

Individually, without a doubt [we are better], he told reporters. But football has developed considerably.

Other countries have also come on leaps and bounds and their players have become much more technically refined.

Comparing different generations doesn t often get you anywhere. You simply have to keep up with the development of …

Mason hoping to relive 2008 at League Cup final

Having watched the 2008 League Cup final from the stands, Tottenham midfielder Ryan Mason is eager to make his mark against Chelsea.

Ryan Mason has the chance to help Tottenham to League Cup glory against Chelsea on Sunday, having watched from the stands when the sides last met in the showpiece in 2008.

Tottenham triumphed 2-1 on that occasion, with Jonathan Woodgate scoring four minutes into extra-time to snare victory.

I was at the stadium, recalled Spurs midfielder Mason.  It was a tense game, they took the lead and then Woody popped up at the end with a bit of a fortunate goal, but they hung on and I just remember it as a great occasion.

It was a great occasion for the club and hopefully we can reproduce that on Sunday and win the trophy.

Bills vs Saints Thanksgiving Day Football Picks and Predictions: Back on Track in the Big Easy

Betting on the final NFL game on Thanksgiving Day is kind of like eating that final piece of pumpkin pie. You probably shouldn’t but who are you kidding, you’re definitely going to.

The Atlanta Falcons head to Ford Field to face the Detroit Lions on Sunday afternoon. The Lions edged the defending Super Bowl champs in Week 1 but were upset at home last week and will try to bounce back against a Falcons side that is 2-0.

NFL odds opened with Detroit as a 4.5-point home favorite but that line has slimmed down to -3.5. Here are my best free Falcons vs. Lions NFL picks for September 24.

How to Stream Seahawks vs Cowboys Live Free — in the U.S.

It’s deja vu all over this evening as the Seattle Seahawks are set to appear in their second straight Thursday Night Football game. The last time viewers saw Geno Smith & Co. was on Thanksgiving, when the ‘Hawks were grounded by the 49ers 31-13. Seattle surrendered 377 total yards of offense, including 139 to Christian McCaffrey, who scampered in for two touchdowns.

It was a very different story last Thursday for the Dallas Cowboys, who crushed the Commanders 45-10. Dallas saved the biggest turkey leg of all for Dak Prescott, who threw for 331 yards and a season-high four TDs in the lopsided win.

While there are a number of different subscription-based TV channels and streaming services available to watch tonight’s game, you can also live stream Seahawks v…

England’s Euro 2020 squad: Greenwood withdraws, no Ward-Prowse or Lingard

England’s squad for Euro 2020 began to take shape on Tuesday morning when Mason Greenwood withdrew to “recover fully from an underlying injury” and James Ward-Prowse and Jesse Lingard were informed they would not be in the final 26.

All three players were in Gareth Southgate’s provisional 33-man squad that is being trimmed on Tuesday. The omission of Ward-Prowse suggests the England manager is confident regarding the fitness of Jordan Henderson. Lingard excelled at West Ham after joining on loan from United but has not done enough to earn a place at the European Championship.
